The Jinhae Gunhang Festival, also known as the Cherry Blossom Festival, originated on April 13, 1952, sparked memorial ceremonies held in honor of Admiral Yi Sun-sin 이순신, the first of its kind in South Korea.

 

The Jinhae Gunhang Cherry Blossom Festival stands as Korea's largest spring festival, with over 360,000 Yoshino cherry trees painting the landscape in vibrant bloom.

 

Throughout the festival, visitors can enjoy a variety of cultural, artistic, and musical events, as well as peruse a bustling flea market.

Just take a stroll along the nicely paved path from Yangjae Citizen's Forest Station, following the beautiful Yangjaecheon Stream until you reach Dogok Station (or you can stop earlier at Maebong Station if you prefer).
