Jin, the eldest member of the group BTS, will be discharged on the 12th after completing approximately 1 year and 6 months of military service.
According to the music industry, Jin is expected to report his discharge at the 5th Infantry Division recruit training center in Yeoncheon, Gyeonggi Province, and leave the guardhouse that morning.
Among the seven members of BTS, Jin is the first to complete his military duty. Jin enlisted as an active-duty soldier in December 2022, becoming the first member of the group to do so, and has served as an instructor at the recruit training center.
The remaining six members, J-Hope, Suga, RM, V, Jungkook, and Jimin, are still serving in the military.
Among them, J-Hope, who was the second to enlist, is scheduled to be discharged in October.
Except for Suga, who is serving as a public service worker, all other BTS members—J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook—took leave to gather and celebrate Jin's discharge.
RM, who is serving in the military band, played the hit song 'Dynamite' on the saxophone, bringing laughter to the occasion.
Jin, holding a bouquet prepared by the members, waved to the reporters with a relaxed expression.
Afterwards, all seven BTS members gathered at the HYBE building in Yongsan-gu, Seoul.
The day after his discharge, on the 13th, Jin will attend the offline event '2024 FESTA' held at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Songpa-gu, Seoul, to meet with ARMY (BTS's fandom).
During the first part of the event, he will host a hug session where he will embrace 1,000 fans.
In the second part, he plans to have a session to interact and communicate with the fans.
