Amidst escalating conflicts between the nation's largest planning agency, Hive, and its subsidiary, Adaore, Min Hee-jin, the representative of Adaore, the music video for the new song 'Bubble Gum' by Adaore's girl group NewJeans has been released.

 

 

 

The 'Bubble Gum' music video, released on NewJeans' official YouTube channel and other platforms at midnight on the 27th, has attracted attention by garnering 4.34 million views in just 10 hours.

 

'Bubble Gum' is one of the tracks from the new double single 'Home Sweet,' which will be officially released on the 24th of next month.

The music video starts with member Hyein saying, "Today, I'll show you how to make soap bubbles."

 

The video tape then plays, and the faintly nostalgic cinematography, reminiscent of someone's summer vacation shot with a camcorder, evokes nostalgia.

 

The members freely run around the blue seaside and pasture, playing with soap bubbles, balloons, and glass beads, laughing and frolicking cheerfully.

 

It has garnered reactions such as "It's like the summer version of 'Ditto,' beautifully capturing the youthfulness."

 

 

 

Min Hee-jin, the representative of Adaore, personally produced the music video.

 

On the morning of the 27th, without any additional text, Min posted the new song 'Bubble Gum' music video on her Instagram, and as of 11 a.m., over 56,000 people had clicked 'Like.'

Many comments on YouTube express support for the members, hoping they won't be hurt by the conflict between Hive and Adaore.

 

Comments like "It's so heartbreaking to see them play like kids while their parents are fighting," and "I hope your youth won't be hurt by the cowardice of adults," were prevalent.

 

There were also noticeable responses from those who claimed they were not fans but came after watching Min Hee-jin's press conference.

 

A comment reads, "Adaore released the music video without hesitation amidst this controversy. Ultimately, it's a more successful promotion than any viral from Hive."

 

 

 

The 'Bubble Gum' music video surpassed 4 million views in just 10 hours, with over 40,000 comments.

 

It also ranked high on YouTube's trending videos in various countries, including Canada (1st), the UK (2nd), the US (3rd), Australia (4th), and Brazil (7th).

Meanwhile, Hive issued a statement to the press the day before, directly refuting Min Hee-jin's press conference.

 

Regarding the claim that the takeover was a joke or a private conversation, they stated, "Records of discussions over several months for the same purpose exist in dialogue logs and work journals."

 

They also responded to the allegations of "slave contracts" and being bound to Hive forever, saying, "Non-compete clauses are common in any industry," and "Min is allowed to sell stocks from November this year, and if she does, she won't be bound by the non-compete agreement from November 2026, when the employment contract with our company expires."
