Seoul Festa Until 7th May

"Seoul Festa 2023," where visitors can enjoy various contents ranging from K-pop star performances to shopping and cultural experiences, will be held in various locations throughout Seoul, including Gwanghwamun Square and Jamsil Sports Complex, according to Seoul Metropolitan Government on the 30th.
This year's Seoul Festa slogan is "Feel the Real Seoul."
It aims to encourage foreign tourists who have not been able to visit Seoul in person due to COVID-19 for the past three years to come and experience the charm of Seoul firsthand.
The event has been organized into five main themes ▲music featuring various K-pop performances, ▲fashion that showcases the charm of Seoul, ▲food that can be enjoyed on the Han River, ▲night views that enhance the beauty of Seoul at night, and ▲a bustling festival that will enliven the entire city.
The opening ceremony, which marks the start of the festival, will be held at Jamsil Olympic Main Stadium on the 30th.
K-pop stars, including ENHYPEN, THE BOYZ, iKON, STAYC, Kep1er, and Lee Young-ji, will perform in a K-pop festival for about 40,000 domestic and foreign audiences starting at 7:30 p.m.
The event will also feature a K-food market called "Bridge Food Market" at Jamsu Bridge on the Han River, and a drone light show called "Han River Drone Light Show" at Ttukseom Han River Park.
Gwanghwamun Square will transform into a space to experience Seoul's various charms and tastes, with an art rest area featuring the popular character Belly Bear, and various theme experience zones for drama, beauty, fashion, and more.
There will also be a "Seoul Tourism Promotion Zone" where visitors can directly participate in experiencing Seoul's travel information, and a "Seoul Experience Tourism Market" where they can enjoy Seoul's various experience tourism, including food, traditional crafts, and cultural arts.
The drone light show will be held four times from May 29th to June 6th at Ttukseom Han River Park, where Seoul's charm will be displayed in the night sky.
One cannot miss Myeong-dong, a popular destination among foreign tourists.
The "Myeong-dong Festival," hosted by Lotte Department Store for regional development purposes, will take place until the 7th of next month.
Various locations such as vacant shops, street vendors, subway stations, roads, etc., will be decorated with art murals and wrappings, transforming the streets of Myeong-dong into galleries.
In addition, the "Seoul Jazz Festival," "Circus Festival" at Yeouido Hangang Park, "Art Playground" at Nodeul Island, "Namsan Choice" (Sound Play Festival) at Seoul Namsan Gugakdang, "Taekwondo Special Performance" at Seoul Plaza, "K-POP Dance Flashmob" at Myeong-dong Station Imagine Plaza, and the "Han River Spring Festival" at Ttukseom Hangang Park will offer a variety of sights and activities for tourists and citizens.
During the same period, the Seoul Metropolitan Government will also hold the "2023 Seoul Shopping Festival."
The event will involve 244 companies and 3,312 stores offering up to 50% discounts in eight categories, including shopping, travel and lodging, fashion and beauty, and food and beverage for domestic and foreign residents and tourists.
Kim Young-hwan, head of the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Tourism and Sports Department, said, "We will do our best to make Seoul Festival 2023 a festival that plays a crucial role in revitalizing Seoul tourism and boosting its growth as a global top-five city."
