Meal-kit services have become increasingly popular in South Korea, just as they have in many other countries.
Meal-kit services in Korea offer pre-portioned ingredients and step-by-step recipes delivered to the customers' homes, making it convenient for people to cook homemade meals without the need for extensive grocery shopping.
These meal kits often cater to a variety of preferences, including traditional Korean dishes, international cuisines, and even dietary preferences like vegetarian or vegan options.
Some meal-kit companies in Korea may also focus on using locally sourced and organic ingredients to appeal to health-conscious consumers.
The surge in e-commerce and speedy delivery services has significantly contributed to the popularity of meal kits, predominantly sold online by companies like Coupang, 11st, and Market Kurly in South Korea.
These kits contain fresh ingredients that must be consumed within three to four days, emphasizing the importance of swift delivery.
Major corporations have also entered the meal-kit market, with CJ CheilJedang operating Cookit, Hy (formerly Korea Yakult) offering Eats On, and Emart launching Peacock.
Even discount marts have joined the trend, with Homeplus introducing dedicated "meal-kit zones" at its branches since 2021.

2) Cookit - Flank Chop Steak
