Produce 101, Superstar K, and Boys Planet are beloved programs that have captured our hearts.

This November, a brand-new audition program, aimed at creating fresh K-pop acts, is set to make its debut.

Local broadcaster SBS is collaborating with Entertainment company F&F to bring forth this exciting venture, known as "Universe Ticket."

Together, they will select eight talented individuals to join their ranks for the next two and a half years.

There will be 82 trainee joining the competition and special missions for 82 days.

This number 82 represents Korea's country code.

Ultimately, there will be 8 people who will join the group and active in online and offline activities.

 

The girls from 128 countries including New Zealand, Germany, Mexico, and India applied for the show, according to SBS.

Among them, 48 of them are Korean.

The broadcaster has unveiled the faces of all 82 contestants, including Eunchae of now-defunct K-pop girl group DIA and trot singer Lim Seo-won.

As expected, like other audition programs, "Universe Ticket" will also have participation from established singers who have previously worked as idols.

Additionally, trainees from various entertainment companies are expected to take part, and there will also be participants without agency affiliations.

 

The production of the show <K-Pop Star> will be led by PD Lee Hwan-jin, who previously directed <Running Man> and <LOUD>.

The main focus of the show is to overcome the persistent issues that existing audition programs have faced.

They aim to prioritize fairness by avoiding biased allocation of screen time to specific participants and eliminating malicious editing.

According to the current trend, the show places a significant emphasis on viewer participation through 'voting.'

Although the broadcast is scheduled to begin in November 23rd, the global pre-voting has already started from July 19th.

Viewers can participate in the voting process through the official SBS website and fan cast.

 

In order to vote for their favorite girls among the 8 contestants, fans can sign up on the official website and fan cast app for "Universe Ticket."

Each fan is allowed one vote per day.

The voting period is from July 19th, 0:00, to August 9th, 10:00.
