Lee Jung-jae, who has continually redefined his career with diverse roles in works such as 'Squid Game,' is set for another monumental transformation within the Star Wars universe.

 

His first significant step is his entry into the Star Wars franchise. 

 

As the first Korean actor to appear in a Star Wars project, he admitted to feeling the pressure when he received the offer, as English is not his native language. 

 

However, he shared, 'If it weren't Star Wars, I would have declined. But who can refuse Star Wars?' highlighting the significant influence the franchise had on his decision to take on his first Hollywood series.

In the teaser and main trailer previously released, Lee Jung-jae makes a powerful impression as 'Master Sol'. 

 

His commanding presence is particularly notable as he flawlessly delivers his lines in English with a deep, resonant voice.

The second notable aspect of his journey is his portrayal of a Jedi Master, complete with lightsaber action. 

 

Playing the skilled Jedi 'Master Sol,' Lee underwent intensive action training in the UK, both day and night, to perfect his performance. 

 

This included strength training in the mornings and evenings, lightsaber drills, and complex fight choreography. 

 

Amandla Stenberg, who plays 'Mace,' Master Sol's apprentice, praised Lee's performance, saying, 'Lee Jung-jae truly shines as Sol. His action scenes are incredible, almost like a dance.'

Finally, the yet-to-be-revealed episodes of 'The Acolyte' promise to showcase Lee Jung-jae's overwhelming presence within the Star Wars universe. 

 

'The Acolyte' is a mystery action thriller set during the golden age of the Jedi Order, revolving around an unprecedented Jedi serial murder case and the emerging dark forces behind it. 

 

Lee plays 'Master Sol,' who investigates the serial killings that disrupt the peaceful era, portraying a character with a complex and multifaceted nature.

The trailers and posters released so far have shown Lee Jung-jae seamlessly integrating into the Star Wars universe, raising anticipation for the series.
