Fifty Fifty's "Cupid" ranks 19th on Billboard's Hot 100 chart, entering for the seventh consecutive week.


It is the second longest charting K-pop girl group song, following Blackpink's "Ice Cream," which also made it to the top 20.

 

K-pop rookie girl group Fifty Fifty is breaking into the English-language singles chart, as they set a new record for K-pop girl groups on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 chart.

According to Billboard on the 8th, Fifty Fifty's title track "Cupid" from their first single "The Beginning: Cupid," released on February 24th, climbed 22 spots to land at No.

 

19 on the Hot 100 chart for the week of May 13th.

The song has remained on the chart for seven consecutive weeks since entering at No.

100, and has moved up gradually from No. 94 to No. 85, No. 60, No. 50, and No. 41.

In particular, their seven-week streak on the Hot 100 chart places them second among K-pop girl groups for the longest-charting song on the chart.

Last week, Fifty Fifty was tied with Blackpink's pre-release track "Lovesick Girls" from their second full-length album "The Album," and New Jeongseon, a new girl group, with their debut single "OMG" on the Hot 100 chart for six weeks.

Currently, Blackpink holds the record for the longest-charting K-pop girl group song on the Hot 100 chart with their collaboration with American pop star Selena Gomez on "Ice Cream" in 2020, which stayed on the chart for a total of eight weeks and peaked at No. 13.

Alongside "Cupid," Fifty Fifty has become one of the few K-pop girl groups to enter the top 20 of the Hot 100 chart, along with Blackpink's "Ice Cream." What makes "Cupid" even more significant is that it is a solo track by Fifty Fifty and not a collaboration with a pop star.

Fifty Fifty's "Cupid" has already set a new record for K-pop girl groups on the UK Official Singles Chart.

It recently reached No. 9 on the Singles Top 100 (May 5th-11th), surpassing the previous record set by Blackpink and Lady Gaga's collaboration, "Sour Candy," which peaked at No.

17 on the chart. Notably, Fifty Fifty made an impressive debut by becoming the first K-pop girl group to enter the top 10 of that chart.
