Here’s exciting news for art lovers: the "The Immortal Artist Van Gogh in Daejeon" exhibition has opened!

This exhibition is the largest retrospective of Van Gogh ever held in Korea, featuring 76 oil paintings from the Kröller-Müller Museum in the Netherlands, arranged chronologically to trace the artist’s remarkable journey.

A special highlight is "Culture Day" on April 30, the last Wednesday of the month, when all visitors can enjoy the exhibition at a group discount rate.

On this day, the exhibition hours are extended until 9 PM (last admission at 8 PM), offering guests the rare chance to appreciate the masterpieces at a more relaxed evening pace.

The exhibition features some of Van Gogh’s most celebrated works, including "Self-Portrait," "The Good Samaritan," and "The Potato Eaters."

In "Self-Portrait," Van Gogh confronts his inner self through vigorous brushstrokes, reflecting both his struggles and his unyielding passion for art amid loneliness and anxiety.

"The Good Samaritan," inspired by a biblical scene, emphasizes compassion and humanity, expressed through emotionally charged colors and composition.

Meanwhile, "The Potato Eaters" depicts the humble daily life of a poor farming family, showcasing Van Gogh’s deep respect and empathy for the human condition.

These masterpieces embody Van Gogh’s relentless pursuit of authenticity and the essence of humanity.

If you’re planning a trip to Daejeon, be sure not to miss this Van Gogh exhibition!
