Hampyeong County, located in South Jeolla Province, is set to host the 25th Hampyeong Moaksan Red Spider Lily Festival from September 12th to 15th, 2024, at the scenic Yongcheonsa Temple Red Spider Lily Park.

 

This annual event, held under the theme "Red Waves of Spider Lilies, Embracing Hampyeong," promises to captivate visitors with one of the largest colonies of red spider lilies in Korea, a site recognized as one of the country's top 100 natural scenic spots.

 

 

The festival was originally organized by the Haebo-myeon Red Spider Lily Festival Promotion Committee.

 

However, since last year, Hampyeong County has taken over as host, with the event now managed by the Hampyeong Festival Tourism Foundation.

 

This year, the festival returns with an expanded lineup of activities, offering a mix of cultural, recreational, and healing experiences centered around the breathtaking blooms of the red spider lilies.

Participants who reach the summit and share their photos on social media will receive a special souvenir, and for every photo posted, the Hampyeong Festival Tourism Foundation will donate 10,000 KRW to a local charity, making this not only an adventurous activity but also a philanthropic one.
