ENA-E Channel's new variety show 'GenZ Gone to the Countryside' has announced the birth of a real healing countryside entertainment program.

 

 

 

The production presentation for ENA’s new variety show 'GenZ Gone to the Countryside' was held at IFC Seoul.

 

Attendees included PDs Lee Hye-ok, Jeon Segye, and Go Min-seok, along with comedian Yang Se-chan, comedian Lee Eun-ji, actor Song Geon-hee, actor and singer Jeong Dong-won, and (G)I-DLE’s Miyeon.

'GenZ Gone to the Countryside' is a 'real hip-tro (hip + retro) variety show' featuring a countryside adventure where members, eager to experience the countryside in a 'Z generation' style, embark on a unique and colorful Newtro MZ (Millennials + Gen Z) countryside journey.

The cast members shared their reasons for joining the show.

 

 

 

 

Lee Eun-ji said, "MZ friends seem to love 'countryside vacations' (chon-kang-seu).

 

They gain a lot of healing from those experiences.

 

I thought the planning was very trendy, so I decided to join.

 

Also, I wanted to do a variety show with senior comedian Yang Se-chan.

 

I had great chemistry with Song Geon-hee and Jeong Dong-won when they appeared as guests on my radio show.

 

Miyeon is so down-to-earth, so I was happy to join the cast because of the members."

Song Geon-hee, who is challenging himself with his first variety show, shared his reasons for joining, saying,

 

"I thought the combination of members was great and fresh.

 

If I were to do my first variety show, I thought this would be the perfect one.

 

If I were familiar with the countryside, it might have been overwhelming, but since it's about city people going down to the countryside to experience it, I felt like I could enjoy it without any burden."

 

 

 

 

He also added, "Because it was my first variety show, I was so nervous that I couldn't sleep. But everyone took great care of me, so I was able to do it comfortably."

 

 

 

 

The members also revealed who they would like to invite as guests.

 

Song Geon-hee extended a love call to Kim Hye-yoon and Byeon Woo-seok, his co-stars from the tvN drama 'Lovely Runner.' Song Geon-hee said, "It would be great if they could come and relax, especially since everyone is busy."
