Asan Opens with 'Yi Sun-sin Festival' Flowers, Gardens, Hot Springs, and Camping
The 'Art Valley Asan 63rd Yi Sun-sin Festival,' commemorating the birth anniversary of Admiral Yi Sun-sin, continues until the 28th.
This festival, held at various locations such as the Yi Sun-sin Comprehensive Sports Stadium, Hyunchoongsa Shrine, Gokgyocheon Stream, and Onyang Oncheon Station, features ongoing busking performances at Onyang Oncheon Station and permanent experiential programs at Gokgyocheon Stream.
Martial arts performances are held twice.
At Hyunchoongsa Shrine, the national archery competition and a hundred-day drawing contest for the national distress flag will be held.
A marathon will take place on the Baekui Jonggun Road.
At the Yi Sun-sin Comprehensive Sports Stadium, there will be street dance performances by the Hakikjin Crew, military music performances by 'Descendants of the General,' World Angel Peace Art Troupe's 'Heavenly Punishment,' and Forestella's 'Sea Fog.'
The closing ceremony will feature a performance by the April 28 Choir followed by a fireworks show.
In addition to Hyunchoongsa Shrine, Asan's representative tourist attractions include Oeam Village and Pinnacle Land.
After touring around Hyunchoongsa Shrine, visitors can enjoy seeing one million tulips at nearby Pinnacle Land.
Various flowers such as azaleas, zelkovas, and camellias welcome tourists at every corner.
Oeam Village is home to around 60 traditional tile-roofed and thatched-roof houses where residents still live.
There are also traditional gardens and old houses where you can experience Korean culture.
After undergoing facility renovations, the newly operated water park 'Asan Spa B Village' boasts 100% natural hot spring water.
It features outdoor hot spring pools available year-round, a kids' pool, and a wave pool capable of accommodating 1,500 people simultaneously.
The area where the cherry blossom festival was held is also a popular cherry blossom spot.
Asan Spa B Village has fully renovated its indoor hot spring baths and upgraded the 'Starlight Spa' introduced last winter, allowing guests to enjoy outdoor open-air spas even late at night.
Attractions have also been improved, including the Exciting River, Aqua Play, and Wave Pool.
The Spa B Village has also introduced a glamping site called Spa Fora.
It has installed three Glams Spa buildings with individual hot spring pools, 28 Glamp Forest buildings, and 10 Coachman buildings, equipped with kitchen facilities for comfortable camping.
There is also a pizza-making experience program for families to enjoy while camping together.
