One of the biggest Korean holidays, the Korean New Year(Seolall) starts from this week.

Therefore, some special cultural events have been prepared at Blue House.

The Blue House opening promotion team of Cultural Heritage Administration said the cultural event called ‘Blue House, the interesting Seollal’ will be held for 4 days, from 21st to 24th at Blue House.

The events are divided into 2 sections; ‘storytelling’ part and ‘performance’ part.

In the storytelling part, some experts in various field will talk about the culture, architecture and history of Blue House for 1 hour on each day of the events.

The Cultural Heritage Administration said that the storytelling part should be reserved first, and people can make a reservation until 19th 2pm.

The reservation system is first come and first serve, and one person can buy just one tickets.

Only 150 people can participate in this event.

In performance part, people can see various performance on the streets from the main gate of Blue House to heliport of Blue House.

There will be ‘street plays’, ‘Korean traditional song’, ‘traditional lion dance’ and ‘Samulnori(Korean traditional percussion quartet)’ performances on the streets.

The performances will be shown for 40 minutes from everyday 3pm.
