New Jeans, who became public relations ambassadors for Seoul, set out to promote K-fashion as their first mission.

 

On the 22nd, the Seoul Metropolitan Government announced that it had selected Group New Jeans, a fashion icon of the MZ generation, as an honorary ambassador to help raise global awareness of Seoul Fashion Week.

 

This is the first official public relations ambassador activity of New Jeans, which was appointed as a public relations ambassador for Seoul on the 16th.

 

In 2023, it will play a role in promoting Seoul Fashion Week to the world.

 

The group ‘NewJeans’, which entered the US Billboard chart ‘Hot 100’ within 6 months of its debut and has two ‘Million Seller’ albums, announces Seoul Fashion Week through video.

 

The video of ‘New Jeans’ will be released for the first time on YouTube (@SFW_official) during Seoul Fashion Week on the 25th.

 

New Jeans promotes the works of designers participating in Seoul Fashion Week to the world by showing them wearing the clothes of Seoul Fashion Week participating brands in a promotional video.

 

Ulkin, B.L. Blur, and Azobaiazo, which are participating brands in Seoul Fashion Week, are attracting attention from the MZ generation with their unique style and design that embodies K-fashion's unique sensibility.

The Seoul Metropolitan Government will hold the ‘2023 F/W (Fall/Winter) Seoul Fashion Week’, which showcases fall and winter fashion trends this year, for five days from March 15 to 19 at DDP (Dongdaemun Design Plaza).

 

This '2023 F/W Seoul Fashion Week' consists of three major events: a fashion show by 30 designer brands, a trade show, Korea's largest order fair with 130 overseas buyers from 27 countries, and various citizen participation programs combining fashion and innovative technology.

 

This year's Seoul Fashion Week attempts to change the stage design and fashion show ordering method.

 

In order to provide a more lively experience, the linear stage is changed to a circular shape rather than a straight line.

 

It is the first stage form to be shown in 23 years since the start of Seoul Fashion Week.

 

As it becomes possible to produce a show that is more vivid and maximizes visual beauty, the participating brands plan to showcase a variety of unique runways using the renewed stage.

 

The stadium runway in Art Hall 1 has a radial structure to give a sense of immersion to the show, and the runway runway in Art Hall 2 has a large LED backwall installed.

 

Excluding the opening, the order of appearance of the Seoul Collection fashion show was determined by the designer's direct draw to strengthen fairness.

 

The opening stage will be held by Seongdong Lee, designer of ‘Ul:kin’, who received the highest score from the selection judges for Seoul Collection participating brands, opening the start of Seoul Fashion Week.

 

This year's Seoul Fashion Week will be held as a 100% on-site fashion show, and will also be broadcast live through the Seoul Fashion Week's official YouTube channel (https://www.youtube.com/@SFW_official).

The Seoul Metropolitan Government will hold a citizen invitation event from February 23rd to March 6th to lower the threshold of the Seoul Fashion Week fashion show and expand citizen contact points.

Kim Tae-gyun, head of the Seoul Metropolitan Government's Economic Policy Office, said, "We will make Seoul Fashion Week a gateway for our competitive designers to enter overseas markets and a focal point for enhancing the competitiveness of K-fashion."

 

“We will increase the purchase of big buyers, nurture promising designers, and expand the base of the fashion industry by increasing citizen participation,” he said.
