Netflix's original entertainment show "Physical: 100," created by Korean producers, topped the global rankings in just 15 days after its release.

According to "Flix Patrol," an online content ranking aggregation site, "Physical: 100" ranked first in 38 countries out of 87 countries, ranking first in the world in the Netflix TV program category.

It is the first time that Korean entertainment has reached the top of the global rankings on Netflix, and it is predicted that it could signal the success of K-entertainment following K-drama.

"Physical: 100" is a reality show in which 100 participants, who are proud to be the "best body" for 300 million won in prize money, play an extreme survival game.

A variety of cast members, including famous athletes such as martial arts player Choo Sung-hoon, skeleton gold medalist Yoon Sung-bin, and former national team member Yang Hak-sun, appeared, drawing attention even before the release.

"Physical: 100," which was released on the 24th of last month, was talked about as a "Squid Game Live Edition," and received a enthusiastic response from overseas viewers.

In particular, the highly regarded part is "respecting each other in fierce competition for survival."

Unlike other programs that emphasize conflict by exaggerating too much, viewers who watched "Physical: 100" responded, "It's a survival, but it's good to see because it's sportsmanship," and "I thought it was a TV show, but it feels like a sports game."

Producer Jang Ho-ki of MBC's documentary team opened the door to K-entertainment.

Producer Jang Ho-ki said, "We needed to break through in the terrestrial crisis. I wanted to challenge myself rather than publishing MBC only on TV and being a liberalized producer. There's already a place that viewers want, but it doesn't make sense for us to say, "I thought the world would respond if Korean viewers liked it." I want to do it by continent. "I hope we can develop into a program that can participate in around the world."
