Go up to Gyeonghoeru and enjoy the beauty of Gyeongbokgung Palace

"Special viewing" until October.

 

 

 

The night view of Gyeongbokgung Palace is from April 5th to May 31st.

 

Recommended places to enjoy spring flowers are Mt. Amisan in Gyeongbokgung Palace.

 

 

 

 

During the Joseon Dynasty, it can climb the Gyeonghoeru Pavilion of Gyeongbokgung Palace, where a banquet was held or envoy came, and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the old palace.

Gyeonghoeru Pavilion, a national treasure, is a large-scale two-story pavilion built in a pond northwest of Geunjeongjeon Hall, and is evaluated as showing the characteristics of the pavilion architecture in the late Joseon Dynasty.

The Gungneung Relics Headquarters of the Cultural Heritage Administration announced on the 21st that it will run a special viewing program to tour Gyeonghoeru Pavilion four times a day from the 1st of next month to October 30th.

However, it is summer and cannot be seen in July when it rains a lot.

 

Special viewing of Gyeonghoeru Pavilion will be held four times a day at 10 a.m., 11 a.m., 2 p.m. and 4 p.m.

You can look around for 30 to 40 minutes according to the guide of the commentator.

If you participate in the special viewing, you can feel the beauty of Gyeonghoeru Pavilion in harmony with the pond.

Visitors can climb to the second floor, where access is usually restricted, and view the scenery of Gyeongbokgung Palace and Inwangsan Mountain at a glance.

 

For the protection of cultural heritage and the safety of visitors, the number of visitors will be limited to 30 per time.

People aged 7 or older can participate.

Reservations can be made on the website (www.royalpalace.go.kr) from 10 a.m. on the 25th.

The Gungneung Relics Headquarters also guided the blooming period of Gungneung Spring flowers so that you can enjoy the atmosphere of spring flowers at the four major palaces and the royal tombs of Joseon in spring.

The spring flowers of the palace and the Royal Tomb of Joseon are expected to begin blooming on the 23rd, starting with cherry trees, plum trees, apricot trees, and Neungsu cherry trees around Gyeongbokgung Palace.

The peak is expected between late March and early April.

Various cultural events are also held in the palace for spring.

Special viewing and night viewing of Gyeonghoeru Pavilion will begin at Gyeongbokgung Palace.

Night viewing will run from the 5th of next month to May 31st, apart from the special viewing.

The interior of Jipokjae Pass will also be opened through the "Jipokjae Small Library Event."

In Changdeokgung Palace, there will be Nakseonjae Pass with Spring, where you can enjoy the spring scenery of Nakseonjae Pass, and Changdeokgung Palace Tree Exploration with Donggwoldo Island, a national treasure.

Changgyeonggung Palace will hold an event to raise companion plants for single-person households, "Peony Together" and "Flower of King Jeongjo" (April 29) to make mood lights.

 

In Deoksugung Palace, a special management center (from the 28th to the 5th of next month) will be operated where you can see the inside of major pavilions along with apricot flowers.

Gyeongbokgung Palace and Jongmyo Shrine are closed Tuesday, while other ancient palaces and royal tombs of Joseon are closed Monday.
