Runner Station (730㎡) is a combination of the words 'runner' and 'station,' and it is equipped with changing rooms, lockers, and experience and education facilities for running enthusiasts.
This is the first space created as part of the 'Fun Station' project by the Seoul Metropolitan Government, which aims to transform unused spaces within subway stations into cultural spaces for citizens.
Runner Station also offers educational programs such as Day-Specific Running Classes, Weekend Children's Running Classes, and the 4-Week Personal Best (PB) Completion Class.
The station is also equipped with media boards that introduce stretching and running postures, running terminology, and courses, as well as shoe sanitizers, disinfection machines, and InBody machines.
Until June 30, visitors can receive running posture correction from a professional coach.
This coaching is available without any reservation on weekdays from 4 PM to 9 PM, where anyone can participate by starting their run on a non-motorized treadmill.
On the M1 floor, there is a long horizontal media board.
This board features Hatchi and various running characters that provide information on the weather, city-hosted running events, and sports activities.
Exit 2 of Yeouinaru Station, which leads to Yeouido Hangang Park, has been designed as a photo zone.
The stairs are designed to look like a running track, with sculptures and lights installed, allowing for unique photo opportunities to commemorate the start and end of a run.
Professional running programs will also be held at Runner Station until the end of June.
These include 'Day-Specific Running Classes,' 'Weekend Children's Running Classes,' and a '4-Week Personal Best (PB) Completion Class,' all led by coaches from various sports brands.
Detailed information is available on the 'Runple' app.
At the entrance, there is a 'Running Course Ranking Board' where runners can register their rankings and personal records after activating the mobile application 'Runple' and running the 8.4 km course around Yeouido Hangang Park.
To celebrate the opening of Runner Station, the city will award 1,000 points on the 'Wrist Doctor 9988' app to citizens who complete the 8.4 km loop around Yeouido Hangang Park from today until July 20.
On the first weekend after the opening, June 25-26, a roulette event will be held at the Runner's Basecamp, offering prizes such as Hatchi dolls, towels, running clothes, and Hatchi keyrings.
