A Spectacular Lineup of Performances

The concert will commence with an exhilarating performance by the National Gugak Center’s Folk Music Orchestra, presenting "Gilnori and Chukwon Deokdam."

This traditional musical procession is a powerful way to bring excitement and good fortune to the audience, setting the perfect tone for the rest of the evening.

Following this, the Court Music Orchestra and Dance Company of the National Gugak Center will deliver a captivating rendition of "Yeominrak and Bongraeui," a performance that symbolizes harmony and peace.

These pieces, historically performed in royal courts, will immerse attendees in the elegance and grandeur of traditional Korean culture.

Adding a contemporary touch to the celebration, young dancers from the National Gugak Center’s Dance Education Program will take the stage with "Finding Another Me," an expressive and innovative performance inspired by traditional mask dance.

Their dynamic movements will highlight the continued evolution of Korea’s rich dance heritage.

With the recent surge in popularity of the drama Jeongnyeoni, audiences can look forward to a special performance by the National Changgeuk Company.

The company will present key scenes from the changgeuk adaptation of Jeongnyeoni, bringing the storytelling and emotions of Korean traditional opera to life in a fresh and engaging way.

Further enriching the program, the National Folk Music Center and the National Namdo Gugak Center will present a medley of folk songs.

These performances will showcase the depth and diversity of Korea’s regional musical traditions while spreading hope and joy for the new year with their vibrant and resonant voices.

One of the evening’s highlights will be the National Dance Company of Korea’s presentation of "Mugo for Ogomu and Samgomu."

Featuring dynamic drumming sequences and powerful choreography, this performance is set to captivate audiences with its energy and precision.

The grand finale will be led by the National Gugak Orchestra, which will reinterpret traditional rhythms with a modern flair in "Shin Baetnori."

This performance promises to bridge the past and present, offering a fresh perspective on traditional Korean music while preserving its essence.
