Korean Tradition Play in 'Squid Game' Netflix

In Korea, they have their own version of our "red light and green light" with the phrase "무궁화 꽃이 피었습니다" (mugunghwa kkotchi pieosseumnida), which literally translates to "hibiscus flowers have bloomed."
This choice of expression is significant, as the rose of sharon flower holds special cultural importance as an iconic symbol of Korea.
2. Dalgona 달고나
The second traditional Korean game showcased in Squid Game is referred to in English subtitles as 'caramel'.
This game involves delicately peeling small shapes from a caramel disc, all while ensuring they remain intact.
This specific type of candy is known as dalgona or bbopgi, a pocket-friendly treat that holds immense popularity among Korean youngsters.
Within the caramel circle, a distinct shape can always be found (such as a star, circle, triangle, or umbrella), adding an element of intrigue.

3. Marbles 구슬치기

In Squid Game, this challenge is set within a hanok-style village, reminiscent of the traditional Korean dwellings from the past.
The simplest iteration entails holding a handful of marbles and having your opponent deduce whether the total count is even (짝수) or odd (홀수).
4. The Squid Game 오징어게임
Squidgame is a playground game in South Korea.
It's a game played by multiple participants and involves splitting into two teams, one for offense and the other for defense.
The game progresses through rounds, and there are two main objectives : for the offensive team to achieve their attacking goal or for one side to eliminate all members of the opposing team.
During the offensive phase, players are restricted to moving on one foot only.
However, they are allowed to place one foot in the designated safe zones and the other foot in non-designated areas.
Once an attacker successfully moves from the initial "Invincible" zone to the opposing "Promotion" zone, they are then permitted to move with both feet in any area.
