What is odeng?

one is one of the famous street foods you can commonly see in South Korea.

Typically dipped in a flavorful soy sauce seasoned with green onions and sesame oil, 오뎅 is priced at 1,000 won per skewer, (1 dollar for 1000 won).

Often the most budget-friendly option on snack shop menus, 오뎅's distinct feature is the complimentary hot broth served separately.

This allows patrons to relish the savory soup, making it a unique choice among snack options.

It is everyone’s favorite snack in winter.

The reason why odeng is so popular in the winter season is because of its soup.

The soup taste so simple but amazingly warm and comforting.

Unlike any other winter snack we have previously discussed(Bungyeoppang, Jinppang etc), Odeng has the opposite flavor of sweetness.

It is savory with a balanced amount of soy sauce.

When your body is cold, one sip of odeng soup makes your body warm up in immediate seconds.
