Turkey has its own version named 'kestane kebap,' and you can practically hear the street vendors shouting their chestnut delights.
Even in Italy and the UK, roasted chestnuts have found a cozy spot in the hearts of locals.
Think of 군밤 like a winter sibling to the popular Korean street food, '군고구마' (roasted sweet potatoes:Will be written in the future!).
Though it might not stand out as much in today's diverse street food scene, there's something timeless about its traditional charm and that delicious flavor.
If you want to buy it in other season, there is also pack of roasted chestnut you can easily find from convenience store or market.
Those also taste very sweet and honeyed.
