Incheon Mat-Jib Best 5 (Restaurant Ver.)

 

 

In Korea, whenever we discover a restaurant that provides delicious food we call it as Mat-Jib. Mat(맛) meaning taste and Jib(집) meaning and together, it means 'tasty house'.

This is a tip for whenever you want to find an epic places for your dinner or lunch. Using this keyword will make you easy to find yummy places to eat in Korea.

Today, especially, we will be focusing on five must-go restaurants in Incheon.

 

 

1. Deungchon Shabu Kalguksu in Songdo (송도등촌샤브칼국수)

 

 

 

Deungchon Shabu Kalguksu is one of the most liked noodle soup restaurants in Korea with over 250 branches.

They even have a location in Vietnam! Deungchon refers to the region where this dish originated, while shabu (commonly known as Shabu-Shabu) represents thinly sliced meat and vegetables cooked in a hot pot.

Kalguksu signifies hand-chopped noodles.

At this restaurant, you can savor all these elements and complete your meal with fried rice(the most important, you SHOULD try this!), a combination that's sure to leave you satisfyingly full!

2. Sparrow sushi (참새초밥)

 

 

 

In Korea Proverb, there is one saying that " A SPARROW CANNOT JUST PASS A MILL".

This means it is unable to pass by what one likes or what will benefit oneself.

Maybe that is the reason why the owner of this restaurant named this place as sparrow sushi.

I will never be able to just pass this place if I go to Bupyeong.

My recommendation would be Salmon Sushi + Snow Flake Salmon Sushi.

3. Small Restaurant (작은식당우)

 

 

 

As the name suggests, this is a small but delicious restaurant.

It's hard to find because the restaurant doesn't have a signboard, but the taste and atmosphere make it a place you keep coming back to.

The recommended menu is;'Tori Titan,' a ramen made with chicken broth.

4. GilhoSikdang (길호식당)

 

 

 

 

It is chicken doritang mat-jib.

It is a stew of chicken, potato, and onion with seasoning.

At the end of the meal, any leftover broth is combined with rice and fried.

The most recommended menu is Aged Kimchi chicken doritang.

5. Sinbokkwan (신복관)

 

 

 

 

 

 

Whenever you crave for squid and beef, it is a must! Restaurant was felt little bit small for over 4 people but the food is really good.

You should try a cheese fried rice since it is one of their signature menus!
